Antique Original Late Victorian Circa 1880 Thonet Bentwood Coat Rack Stand

Royal House Antiques is delighted to offer for sale. This Antique original, circa 1880, extra large, Thonet Bentwood solid Beech wood eight prong coat stand / rack. This is in my opinion the finest hat, coat and umbrella rack I have ever seen, you would have come across this design many times over the years, this is where it all originated from, this was the first one ever designed, it has the stunning hand carved oversized feet, it is an eight prong which is the largest and its nearly 2 meters tall, it is a wonderful and important antique that any fine furniture.

This piece has been lightly restored to include a deep clean, hand condition wax and hand polish, it is in period perfect order throughout. Measurements are taken at the widest point, if you would like any additional or specific measurements please ask.
